Got a collection of Karaoke CD's and I find they are getting scratched up.
I want to keep the originals in good condition. How do I make copies of
these for my personal use?
Do I need a special kind of Burner or special kind of CD?
I did do a google search and found some info, but was confusing.
I have both CD and DVD Burner.

Thanks
S.

Quick answer- no special CDs required, but "a special burner" is-
namely, you need a burner that'll handle the CD+G format of the discs,
which uses sub-channel data. Not all burners do, partly in response to
industry pressures to not include the feature.

Most Plextor burner drives (CD and DVD, I'm told) will handle it fine,
as will a number of other drives, though its by no means determined by
the brand-name alone. Best way of finding out is keep reading on the
Net, there's a tonne of sites that outline the drives to use, and the
how-to.
